About David S. Rosenberg
Dr. David Rosenberg has demonstrated a commitment to excellence throughout his education, training, and career. He grew up in Kansas City, MO, but left the Midwest to pursue his undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania, graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cumme Laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Paleobiology.
Dr. Rosenberg subsequently attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He served as Class President, enhancing his strong leadership and team-building skills. While at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Rosenberg realized that Plastic Surgery was the ideal field of medicine for him because it combined precise surgical knowledge and skill with artistry and creativity. He was accepted to the Integrated Plastic Surgery Training Program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, considered one of the premier training programs in the country.
Following his plastic surgery residency, Dr. Rosenberg committed a year to dedicated study of peripheral nerve surgery with Dr. A. Lee Dellon in Baltimore, MD and Dr. Christopher Maloney, Jr., in Tucson, AZ. During this year, Dr. Rosenberg took an interest in the decompression of nerves for the treatment of migraine and chronic headaches. Dr. Rosenberg is a board-certified plastic surgeon, receiving his board-certification in 2008.
In addition to clinical training, Dr. Rosenberg is actively engaged in advancing the field of Plastic Surgery, through teaching duties and research interests. He completed a research fellowship at Northwestern University. His research in wound healing, cosmetic surgery and peripheral nerve surgery has resulted in multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks, as well as lectures at national meetings.
Dr. Rosenberg’s practice philosophy is simple: treat all of his patients as though they were his family or friends. This is accomplished by combining an affable and compassionate “bedside manner” with outstanding clinical knowledge and surgical skill. His goal is to communicate in understandable and honest terms about the proposed procedure, while delivering results in a safe and comfortable environment.
