About Eric J. Culbertson
Dr. Eric Culbertson is double board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. Focusing on cosmetic surgery of the breast and body, Dr. Culbertson completed training specifically in aesthetic surgery during his fellowship at the top-ranked University of Texas Southwestern, which is only offered to one applicant per year. This program has been ranked the No. 1 plastic surgery program in the nation for the past three years. There, he was mentored by some of the most highly regarded aesthetic plastic surgeons in the world. He learned modern and advanced techniques in both surgical and nonsurgical cosmetic procedures, including the latest in breast augmentation, drainless abdominoplasty, liposuction, and other body contouring techniques, as well as fat grafting, fillers, and botulinum toxins.
Dr. Culbertson's training began at the University of Wisconsin in Madison for undergraduate and medical schools. He completed general surgery training at the prestigious University of California San Francisco and University of Michigan programs. Prior to fellowship training, he completed an additional three-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of California Los Angeles.
Dr. Culbertson recognizes that each patient is unique in regard to his or her anatomy, desires, and expectations. He personally strives to achieve natural yet undeniable results that bolster one's self esteem and reinforce, rather than change, one's identity. In particular, Dr. Culbertson feels that each procedure must be tailored to the individual. Often, a marriage of approaches—such as the addition of liposuction or fat grafting—will achieve the best result over one technique alone. Dr. Culbertson will work with you in partnership, from establishing a plan for achieving your goals during the initial consultation to guiding you through the recovery process and ensuring that our expectations are met.
Relatively new to the Sonoma region, Dr. Culbertson lives with his wife and two children, who have been very excited to become an integral part of this community.
