Bryce Downen, PT, DPT

Bryce was raised in Portland Oregon. At Oregon State University, he majored in Biology and Human Health. Bryce completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Marymount University in Washington DC. After graduating, he worked at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Here, he worked with people recovering stroke, amputation, cardiac surgery, total joint replacement, spinal cord injury, and brain injury. At Providence, he has expanded his role to promote better movement for people with neurodegenerative and balance disorders. He holds certifications as a Certified Stroke Rehab Specialist, Parkinson’s PWR Moves Therapist, and High Intensity Gait Training Therapist. More recently, he has focused his training on orthopedics – back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and foot pain. He reports, “Each individual should be heard”. Bryce will tailor your treatment plan to achieve goals related to your movement system. His passion for Physical Therapy is fueled by volunteering for various community based organizations like Adaptive Sports NW, Oregon Adaptive Sports, Portland Adaptive climb night, and Wheelchair Maintenance night at the bike co-op. You can find him outdoors, spending time with family, playing tabletop games with friends, and rooting for the local sports teams.
