Walker Payton, MD

Dr. Walker Payton is a caring person who takes the time to listen to the concerns of his patients and their families. His goal is to develop excellent working relationships and trust with his patients, and to be a pediatrician who feels like part of the family. Dr. Payton completed his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Wayne State College in Nebraska. He received his medical doctorate in 2020 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine, then graduated from his pediatrics residency from Texas Tech in 2023. He joined Covenant Medical Group in order to continue to work in a clinical setting to serve the community of Lubbock. When Dr. Payton is not caring for the children of west Texas, he enjoys spending time with his pets, cooking for his friends, being mediocre at golf, and cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
