About Shaughn Nunez
Dr. Shaughn Nunez, a proud Lubbock native, has dedicated his career to providing exceptional pediatric care in his hometown since 2014. A true local through and through, he earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Tech University in 2007, followed by his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in 2011. Dr. Nunez completed his pediatrics residency in Lubbock before beginning his journey as a pediatric hospitalist. Over the past decade, he has cared for children across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico, leaving a lasting impact on the families he serves. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Nunez has taken on leadership roles in medical education, including Pediatrics Clerkship Director and Assistant Vice Dean of the Covenant Branch. With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care, Dr. Nunez is passionate about helping children thrive.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nunez enjoys camping, golfing, and cheering on Texas Tech. He and his wife, also a pediatrician, have two children and treasure family time together. A lifelong Lubbock resident, Dr. Nunez is dedicated to advancing child healthcare and looks forward to continuing to serve his community.
