Erica M. Hadley, MD

Since her teens, Dr. Hadley has known that she wanted to be a pediatrician. She’s always loved taking care of children, from babysitting to coaching them in violin and basketball. Today, she says, “I really enjoy building long-term relationships with my young patients and their families. It’s a joy to watch them grow and to celebrate their milestones and achievements with them.”

Dr. Hadley works collaboratively with her patients, their families, and the rest of the health care team. “It’s a partnership,” she says. “We’re all working together to care for and support kids.” In her role, she emphasizes preventive care and provides education, guidance and support for the whole family. “I want patients and families to feel confident in my care and comfortable in sharing their concerns with me,” she says. “All questions are valid. I believe in treating patients and families with respect, listening to their perspectives, and including them in decisions about their care.” Ultimately, she adds, “I want to help kids live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.”

Originally from Sonoma, Calif., Dr. Hadley came north to attend the University of Oregon and to earn her medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University. After returning to California to complete her internship and residency at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland, she was thrilled to move back to the Northwest to live and practice as a board-certified pediatrician.

Naturally, Dr. Hadley is a fan of the Oregon Ducks and the Golden State Warriors. On weekends, you can find her listening to live music or hiking with her dog on the beautiful trails around Portland and beyond.
