Kimberly J. Ramirez-Chan, MD

Dr. Kim Ramirez-Chan, MD, MPH, FAAP is a board-certified pediatrician based in the South Bay, who is thrilled to be serving the same community where she was born and raised. She treats children of all age groups, from newborns to adolescents. She's a strong advocate for breastfeeding and maximizing ways to foster a child's development. With her background as a competitive athlete, she loves sharing her knowledge of physical activity and nutrition. She treats patients as a whole person, focusing not only on the physical aspect, but also the emotional well-being. Over her career, she's found that the best patient care involves working together with families on decision-making and always trusting a parent’s instinct. As a mom herself, she loves sharing the ebbs and flows of parenthood, especially with first-time parent families.

Dr. Ramirez-Chan attended UC Irvine where she double majored in Biological Sciences and Psychology. She then received her Medical Degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine. Her interest in the social determinants of health also led her to obtain a Master of Public Health. She completed her pediatric residency at UC Irvine/Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where she was awarded a Chiefs’ Resident Award for Excellence in Patient Care.
