Bethany L. Stafford, MD

Dr. Stafford is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she was captain of the women’s lacrosse team. After graduation in 2000, she taught second grade in Compton, California as a member of Teach For America where she received a Masters in Elementary Education from Loyola Marymount University. She ultimately decided to pursue medicine and attended Brown Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island and graduated in 2008. Dr. Stafford completed her residency training at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in 2011 and was chosen as a Chief Resident from 2011-2012. After training, she remained at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as an Assistant Professor in Clinical Pediatrics where she was able to merge her love of teaching with pediatrics. In 2013, she and her husband had their first child, Thomas, followed in 2014 with the birth of their daughter, Evelyn. With her quickly expanding family, she could not be more excited to transition from academic medicine to the family at Agoura-West Valley Pediatrics.
