About Roderic L. Smith
Dr. Smith has been a board certified neurologist with special expertise in child neurology since 1992, with extensive practice experience in both academic programs and in private practice. His MD and PhD were obtained at Washington University in 1987. Pediatric and neurology training was at University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he remained on faculty until 2002. From 2002 until January of 2017, he provided care to Alaskans through Pediatric Neurology Clinic of Alaska. In 1/2017 Dr. Smith joined the Providence Medical Group and PAMC to develop a multidisciplinary division of Pediatric Neurosciences and act as a director of PAMC neurodiagnostics. He has special interest in epilepsy, neurogenetic disorders, infectious and inflammatory disorders of the nervous system, and a general interest in all the neurologic conditions of childhood.
