About Michael A. Malandra
Dr. Malandra was born and raised in upstate New York and is very excited to begin a new chapter caring for the children of Alaska. He obtained an undergraduate degree in biochemistry and studied musical theater at Syracuse University. He went on to take master level courses in medical sciences at Boston University and attend medical school at American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Malandra did his residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. He then moved to Chicago for a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Northwestern University where he stayed on as faculty until taking a position with Providence Alaska in 2020.
