About Christopher N. Hein
Dr. Hein is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with added qualifications in hand surgery specializing in surgery of the hand and upper extremity. He endorses a collaborative approach to treating a broad spectrum of upper extremity conditions including arthritis, nerve injury, nerve compression, trauma, stiffness, and overuse injuries. Dr. Hein thoroughly enjoys listening to his patients in order to work with them to craft a tailored plan of treatment that encourages a successful outcome. Dr. Hein has also been selected by both Seattle Magazine and Seattle Met Magazine as a Top Doctor. “My desire to learn more about medicine and the human body was sparked by an experience during a dissection in a college biology lab. We were separating pacemaker cells from cardiac muscle, and I remember being awestruck because the pacemaker cells kept beating even though they were no longer connected to the heart. This was elegant and fascinating to me, and set me on a path that led to multiple volunteer opportunities which solidified my course for a career in medicine.”

Very impressed with Dr. Hein. I was referred by Urgent Care and got right in. He was very relaxed and present during my visit. Wait times on the phone to speak with a scheduler could take 30 mins to over an hour. As a working individual, there is no capacity to stay on hold for that long.Communication through MyChart was easy, but only if you already have access to a staff name.

Doctor was very understanding to my son's disability and made me feel like it. My son fell while he was in a martial arts class. Places he will be there surgery on Friday. The only issue I had is we had to wait a day to get in, but it was as quick as I could schedule him and I appreciate it. he was saying at the Edmonds emergency room for that the area where his classes took place, but we live in Seattle and wanted to be closer to where we live.

Dr Hein was personable, knowledgeable, and very good. He showed me my X-Rays, and where my wrists were broken, and told me this injury would probably heal itself in 6 weeks to 2 months. No surgery was needed! I was pleased that I could leave with braces for them, and would be able to resume much of my regular schedule, based on pain level!

It is hard to put into words how much I appreciated How informed Dr. Hien Was about my health concern, by reading and studying my test results of ultrasounds the findings and other test that he had full knowledge of. He explained what my options were and I chose surgery for a health concern that had been going on for a year and he scheduled the surgery quickly. HE and his Staff were so very compassionate and helped me to clearly understand with written instructions what I needed to do to prepare for the surgery, tips on how to get to the surgery center and parking. All this information was so very helpful to reduce my stress . A huge thanks to Dr. Hein and his amazing staff!
