About John J. Coen

With nearly 25 years of experience, John J. Coen, MD, PC, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery. He is proud to provide patients at ROC Orthopedics in Tualatin and Oregon City, Oregon, with unparalleled care.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science at the University of Notre Dame in 1985, Dr. Coen attended the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1995 and his fellowship in adult reconstruction in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1996.

Following his service in the United States Air Force Medical Corps, Dr. Coen and his wife chose the Willamette Valley region to raise their family. As an advocate for minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Coen has performed over 2,000 total hip replacements using the direct anterior approach.

Dr. Coen is currently accepting new patients and welcomes them to ROC Orthopedics.
