About Evan J. Bachner
Dr. Bachner’s interest in orthopaedics stemmed from athletic injuries in his youth and continues today because it allows him to help his patients return to their normal activities. Dr. Bachner is originally from New York, but has practiced in Southern California since 1993. He started COS with Dr. Fields in 2004, with the goal of “taking great care of people in a highly professional, friendly, and personal atmosphere”. During Dr. Bachner’s career, he has given numerous lectures at local and national meetings, published scientific articles, and authored orthopaedic textbook chapters concerning sports injuries and arthroscopic techniques in shoulder surgery. He has also served in several leadership roles within the Los Angeles medical community. When away from the office, Dr. Bachner enjoys spending time with family and friends, wine tasting, and many types of exercise to include strength training, biking, hiking, and skiing. Weekend hikes are usually on Santa Monica Mountain trails, but have included Mount Whitney, many trails in Utah, and the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim. Dr. Bachner lives in the Conejo Valley and has been volunteering as the Oak Park High School’s team physician since 1999.

Dr. Bachner is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Arthroscopy Association of North America, a member of the Los Angeles County and California Medical Associations, and the California Orthopaedic Association. He has given numerous lectures at local and national meetings and has published numerous scientific articles, and authored Orthopaedic textbook chapters concerning sports injuries, and arthroscopic techniques in shoulder surgery.

Dr. Bachner's personal interests include tennis, skiing, fitness training, and soccer. Previously, he coached in the West Valley Soccer League and served as a team physician for a number of local sports teams. He has volunteered as the Oak Park High School team physician since 1999. Dr. Bachner lives in the Conejo Valley and has been practicing in West Hills since 1993. He is currently available to see patients in both West Hills and Westlake Village.
