Craig C. Thiede, DDS

Dr. Thiede has over 20 years of experience as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. His attention to our patients is one that recognizes their unique needs, anxieties, and helps to find the best solutions for their individual situations. Each year he completes more than 50 hours of continued training in specialty areas such as dental implants, cleft lip and palate repair, oral cancer treatment, orthognathic (jaw) surgery, and wisdom teeth extractions. He is also on staff at several area hospitals, including St. Joseph’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Orange County and St. Jude Medical Center.

While most of our patients know Dr. Thiede because they’ve seen him for wisdom tooth surgery, he’s also an expert when it comes to jaw treatments, TMJ therapy, and complex implant procedures. Dr. Thiede incorporates some of the most advanced technology in medical and oral health care to provide efficient and minimally-invasive services. For example, our conebeam (CT) machine allows him to digitally plan out procedures like implant placement before the date of the surgery. This promises more precise placement and an improved implant success rate.
