About Wynd Counts
Dr. Counts earned her Medical Degree in 1987, at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, and completed her residency there in 1991, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Counts is Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and has been Board Certified through the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists since 1993; she has been caring for the women of Alaska since starting her practice, Women’s Care of Alaska, in 1994. Most recently, the designation Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG) was bestowed upon her, by the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists. She is a Lifetime Member of the American Medical Association, Director and Founding Member of the Society of Alaska Robotic Surgeons, and she holds active memberships in the Alaska State Medical Association, the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists, the Society of Robotic Surgery, and our Local Medical Society.
