I selected OB-GYN because it’s one of the few specialties that you get to do everything like endocrinology, surgery, internal medicine, pathology, the whole nine yards. Plus, there’s nothing cooler than delivering babies! I’m passionate about this field because of the people. It’s treating people like human beings and having a fun time! You’re not on this high pillar talking down snobbishly to patients. You’re getting to know them, their kids, their family. Knowing them beyond their disease. With my long-standing patients, appointments are almost like a social visit, and along the way you get the medicine done. It’s a breath of fresh air to join the Denali team! I’ve been in private solo-practice for 10 years, which can be challenging. It’s nice having other docs around to bounce ideas off of, we all help each other out. The quality goes up a notch in a group practice because now you’ve got other opinions. It’s great for patients and us docs!
