About Emily K. H. Garrett
As an Ob/Gyn hospitalist I have the great privilege of caring for women as they navigate the trials of pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period. It is a time of intense vulnerability and change for patients and their families. I do my best to offer the most up to date evidenced based care and to do so in a way that makes patients feel supported whether they have a routine vaginal delivery or a more medically complicated course. I also understand part my role as an obstetrician and gynecologist is to be an advocate for women’s health and safety. For this reason, I spend time working on institutional quality improvement and educating students and resident physicians so they may grow into responsible and compassionate future clinicians.
