About Debra L. Steele
Dr. Steele grew up in Lincoln, NE and earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in the Honors Biology program. She attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center, receiving an M.D. with Honors recognition in the Neuroscience curriculum. She then completed a rigorous six year residency program in Neurologic Surgery at the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, with a special emphasis on the treatment of cerebrovascular anomalies. Dr. Steele also completed a Surgical Neuro-Oncology fellowship at the prestigious Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. Dr. Steele has been in private practice since 2005 and is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. She also is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Steele employs state-of-the-art technologies and techniques for her surgical procedures, including image-guided navigation.
