My husband had lower back fusion surgery with Dr. Beck this spring. We were very comfortable and pleased with his surgery results and the great care he received from Dr. Beck and the entire hospital staff. When I started having my back issues mid summer, my primary Dr ordered an MRI and decided to refer me to a Neuro Surgeon. My choice was Dr. Beck. My appointment was to establish with him as a patient and discuss a plan concerning my back issues and future treatment. Our faith and respect for Dr. Beck shows when we drive from Great Falls to Missoula for our appointments.

Dr. Beck is the BEST! He's done my spinal fusions and my neck. Now he's fixed my wrists, carpal tunnel syndrome. They're working like brand new!

Dr. Beck had reviewed my medical records, MRI, and CT scan. He was fully aware of my condition and symptoms. I asked about a surgical solution, and he clearly explained the option. He thoroughly answered all my questions. I left with a great deal of confidence in his knowledge and capabilities.

He was very focused and to the point when it came to the exam, and recommendation for surgery. I liked that matter of factness and his confidence helped my anxiety of having back surgery.

The follow up appointment after my surgery went well. The results so far, from my surgery are outstanding. I believe this is because of Dr. Becks' knowledge and skills.

Made appointment with Dr. Beck because no one else has been able to solve the problem with my back. D I feel confident that Dr. Beck cam solve the issue. To do so Radiology has to agree to giving me an MRI. They don't w as nt to do it because I have a pacemaker. The pacemaker is MRI compatible. Hoping this will be resolved quickly.

He is great at his job (surgery) he has very poor social and bedside manner and makes the patient feel less. But knowing he is very knowledgeable in his practice makes the other still tolerable because you have comfort in knowing you are getting the best surgical treatment.

My appoint was to talk about options for my back pain. Dr. Beck thought surgery was best and only option for permanent pain relief. I was hoping to discuss other options even though other options may not have been permanent.

I have been seeing him since 2018 and he has had to successfully operate on me eight (8) times due to degenerative spinal conditions. He has always taken whatever time I required for discussing my issues and has given me the finest care available at Providence St. Patrick Hospital. Dr. Beck does not mince words. He was very direct in his assessment of my back condition. No surgery as my MRI doesn't have any red flags, just normal wear and tear. But he has me coming back for injections and then a phone call to follow up. We will continue injections until one of them works that's the bottom line. Dr. Beck was my last-ditch effort after 6 + years of back pain. I needed to see a surgeon. Dr. Beck was excellent.

Dr Beck helped assure me that I was doing well enough that my back did not need surgery at this time. I really appreciated this information, and it increased my resolve to do all my exercises and stretches and everything else that I can to stay in as good a shape as possible.

With the exception of our primary care physician, all of our family health care providers are based in Missoula and specifically at Providence. We live in Helena, two hours away by car and it's worth the drive to receive the quality care provided by the physicians at Providence.

Was seeing Dr Beck because the earlier neurosurgeon we saw in another town didn't demonstrate concern about my condition. When it got worse, I wanted a second opinion. Was very impressed with the out-of-the-box thinking Dr Beck demonstrated. Before doing surgery he recommended thorough evaluations by Ortho and rheumatology since my symptoms are atypical in some ways from the norm for what the diagnostic tests I have had this far.
