About Amalia A. Eisenberg
Amy Eisenberg’s experience as a neurosurgery nurse practitioner helps ensure that the practice’s brain tumor and pituitary patients receive complete continuity of care, from their first point of contact through inpatient hospitalization and post-operative recovery. Her expertise in setting expectations and close follow-up after discharge instill confidence and comfort in both patient and family. Along with her clinical role, Amy has a strong commitment to education. She is the coordinator of the minimally invasive neurosurgery fellowship and research program and director of the annual neuroscience nursing symposium program which she began in 2009.
Prior to working at Pacific Neuroscience Institute, Amy worked at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and prior to that, Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida where she helped manage a large brain tumor and pituitary neurosurgical practice. Amy serves as Assistant Clinical Professor for the UCLA Acute Care Advanced Practice Nursing Program. Amy is an active member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and sits on the Test Development Committee for the American Board of Neuroscience Nursing. She is also an active member of the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses, Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society, Southern Nursing Research Society, Florida Nurses Associations, and Philippine Nurses Association of America.
