About Ayman M. Salem
Ayman M. Salem, MD, specializes in neurosurgery. Dr. Salem received his neurosurgical residency training at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, with additional subspecialty neurosurgical fellowship training in complex spine surgery and Parkinson's disease surgery at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Loma Linda University Medical Center, respectively. Dr. Salem's areas of neurosurgical interest include computerized image guided surgery for central nervous system tumors, vascular and endovascular neurosurgical procedures, reconstructive spinal vertebral body augmentation as well as complex cervical, thoracic and lumbar spinal instrumentation; also pituitary tumors, stereotactic and functional neurosurgical procedures for both movement disorders, and central pain syndromes. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Salem's approach to the surgical treatment of neurological disorders involves comprehensive understanding of the patient's overall healthcare needs and implementing state-of-the-art techniques.
