Aaron B. Summers, FNP

Aaron earned both his B.S. in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice (D.N.P.) degrees at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He then completed a Family Nurse Practitioner Residency at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center. He was encouraged to pursue the role of Nurse Practitioner by his stepmother who was an ICU nurse and PhD nurse educator. “As I began feeling drawn to a healing profession in my 20s, she explained to me why my personal qualities of compassion, high-level emotional intelligence, drive to learn, and commitment would translate into a fulfilling and successful career as a nurse. She was absolutely right.” Aaron believes in empowering patients to become full participants in their health and wellness through education and positive reinforcement. He sees his role as “a consistent and reliable support system for patients as they navigate complex psychosocial, emotional, and physical challenges.” Born in Texas and raised in Hawaii, Aaron has a deep love for the outdoors, specifically mountain biking, snowboarding, and surfing. He and his partner are excited to move to Oregon with their child and settle their family in this community.
