About Rebecca A. Garfinkle
Dr. Rebecca Garfinkle provides compassionate neurologic care for children and teens. She diagnoses and treats a wide range of neurological disorders including ADHD, autism, epilepsy, headaches, concussions, and movement disorders. She believes that true medical care involves understanding and taking care of the “whole patient.” Board-certified in Child and Adolescent Neurology, Dr. Garfinkle received an undergraduate degree in physiological sciences at the University of California, Los Angeles, and medical degree from Kansas City University of Medical Biological Sciences. She earned a scholarship through the US Army and completed residency in Hawaii, spent a year in Fairbanks, Alaska as a general pediatrician, completed neurology fellowship at Walter Reed in Washington, D.C., and spent 4 years in San Antonio, TX prior to separating from the military and returning to California to start a private practice. A San Diego native, she and her husband are raising two children and enjoying trying new foods, staying active, and traveling.
