About Ying Peng

Dr. Ying Peng MD, Ph.D. is board-certified in Neurology with special qualifications in Child Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She is also board certified by the Clinical Neurophysiology Subspecialty Board. Dr. Peng provides care for the full range of neurological conditions with a subspecialty in epilepsy, neuromuscular diseases, and electromyography/nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCV) in children.

Dr. Peng completed Neurology Residency and Pediatric Neurology fellowship training at UC Irvine affiliated hospitals where she also completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. In addition, she completed a postdoctoral research fellowship in Notch-gene expression in Mammalian brain development at Northwestern University—Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology.
Dr. Peng has served as Clinical Chief of UCI/CHOC/PSF Division of Child Neurology and as Medical Director of CHOC Neuromuscular Program and EEG/EMG lab. She is presently an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics, UC Irvine, School of Medicine.

Dr. Peng’s clinical areas of interest are in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and complex neurophysiological conditions as well as performing NCS/EMG in children and adults. Dr. Peng is the author to numerous studies and abstracts in national and international neuroscience and research journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and the American Stroke Association. Dr. Peng and her family reside in Orange County where her private practice is located. Please call for an appointment.
