About Sallie E. Israelit
A native to Portland, Sallie Israelit, M.D., has been practicing nephrology in the area for the past ten years. Dr. Israelit graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston and then attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. She returned to Boston to complete her internship and residency training at Harvard University - training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center - and her nephrology fellowship at Boston University. Prior to being a founding partner of the new OKHC, Dr. Israelit returned home to Portland and joined her father, Dr. Arnold Israelit, at the family nephrology practice. Dr. Israelit's husband is also a physician, and they have three young children. She is an accomplished seamstress. Dr. Israelit is board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine.
