About Jennifer L. Lycette
Dr. Lycette is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist with a clinical focus on rural community oncology and hematology. She is proud to work with the Providence Cancer team to offer state-of-the-art treatments closer to home for our patients on the North Coast. She strives to minimize the stresses and strains on patients and their families that can result from having to travel significant distances to access care.
Her research interests include cancer survivorship and narrative medicine, a medical approach that utilizes people's narratives in clinical practice, research, and education as a way to promote healing. In other words, her patients' stories matter to her and are taken into account when tailoring each person's individual treatment plan. Her publications on these topics can be found on PubMed.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, music, and spending time outdoors on the North Coast with her husband, their three children, and two dogs.
