Laurie A. Frakes, MD

Dr. Laurie Frakes completed her B.S. in biochemistry at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, and received a master’s degree in immunology from the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. She then completed medical school and a residency in internal medicine at the University of Calgary, followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. Dr Frakes has a strong interest in research and is an active participant in clinical trials available through UCLA, as well as Scripps and biotech industry sponsored trials. Dr. Frakes offers hematology and oncology consultations along with general oncology services. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave, and her two daughters.
