Sant P. Chawla, MD

Dr. Chawla graduated from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, with a dual degree in medicine and surgery, and also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, which included a year at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Chandigarh, India. He served as a Registrar in Medical Oncology at Auckland Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand, and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. In the United States, Dr. Chawla completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He had extensive involvement in developmental/experimental therapeutics, and Phase I-IV clinical trials (involving molecular/biological targeted-gene therapy and anti-neoplastics). Throughout his medical career, Dr. Chawla has been involved in teaching residents and fellows.
