About Shamel Sanani
Shamel Sanani, MD, FACP, is board-certified in oncology. He received his medical degree from Tehran National University of Iran. He completed his internship at Sisters of Charity Hospital, New York, as well as at St. Luke's Hospital Center, New York. His residency in internal medicine was completed at Sisters of Charity Hospital and his fellowship in medical oncology was completed at the State University of New York-Buffalo Medical Center and Roswell Park Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sanani's clinical interests include hematology and oncology. He is a member of the Southern California Academy of Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association and the UCLA Hematology/Oncology Network. He also is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, LA (UCLA), Department of Medicine. Dr. Sanani is committed to excellence in comprehensive health care for both men and women, in a partnership that honors patient individuality and dignity. His approach involves understanding the patient's health care needs and implementing state-of-the-art techniques and compassionate care. Dr. Sanani is a member of the Providence Holy Cross Medical Staff providing care in oncology and Director of the Medical Oncology Department at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center.
