Sungwon R. Kyung, MD

Dr. Kyung is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where she was part of the prestigious combined BA/MD program. She majored in biology with a minor in chemistry and graduated with cum laude distinction. She continued on to pursue her medical degree at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Kyung completed her Internal Medicine Residency training at the Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, and finished her Fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology with the Olive View-UCLA, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Kaiser Sunset Medical Center program. Dr. Kyung is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Society of Hematology. She is particularly interested in oncologic care within minority populations and has presented at numerous conferences regarding her research in cancer disparities within the minority and Asian American communities.
