Leah E. Karlsen, MD

Dr. Karlsen is my new PCP and this was by far the best establishing care visit I've had (& I have had probably half a dozen PCPs in the last decade). She was thorough, prepared, and kind. I'm actually excited to have her as my PCP, vs in the past I've only had a PCP "because I should." I felt like she listened and had great ideas of how to improve my health.

Dr. Karlsen was incredibly helpful during our visit and I would recommend her to anyone seeking a doctor.

Dr Karlsen was great! She's Kind and thorough. This was my first primary care visit in a while, and I left with tangible advice on health and next steps to look for a fertility consult, which we discussed as a focus.

Doctor is very up to date on special needs of the over-75 group and listens carefully, making appropriate suggestions.

Dr. Kartsen is a new physian which, I think, does not allow for indepth treatment and knowledge of providers and treatments. She is very responsive and thorough and goes overboard to do the best she can with the time in practice she has served.

I was very comfortable talking to her, and she's very nice.

This appointment was to established a new patient doctor relationship. I was very impressed with her attentiveness and thorough knowledge of my past tests and history.

Dr. Karlsen is an excellent listener and very easy to talk to. She acknowledged all my concerns and responded respectfully and expertly. Se also helped me to discuss more affordable medication options. I love her positive energy and allowing me to participate in decision making about my health care options. She is an excellent doctor and will make a difference in her patients' lives.

I'm extremely satisfied with my Provider. She was really respectful, responsive, accountable and her perspective about my health is really helpful for me. I really recommend my Provider to family and also friends too. I'm really concerned about my health and she has very strong opinions and help for that too.

Dr listened and satisfied my concerns of head pain. Recommended I schedule eye exam to further investigate head pain. Reassured me that blood pressure, any anolomies in my eye that would indicate source of pain were not apparent. Just wish I did not have to wait 2 days for appointment.

This was a visit to establish care. The doctor was very thorough and personable.

Very good attention and listening and have recommended to my wife whom I believe is looking again for a primary doctor.

Dr. Karlsen is new to me as I'm transferring from another MD. She was engaging, listened carefully, asked pertinent questions, brought up concerns appropriately re: a medication I take. I appreciated the respect I felt from her. I had labs drawn and otherwise, my heart and lungs were assessed. I didn't think to ask if there would be a hands on physical exam next year at my annual wellness check. It would have been helpful if that was addressed and brought up by the MD.

Itwas a nice, relaxing appointment because Dr. Karlson was patient, knowledgeable about my concerns, listened, seemed completely in the moment and not as if anyone was waiting for her, or she needed to finish at some exact time. Yet, I know there are lots of patients and there are X number of minutes per patient. She's got the skill to pull it all off.

I was very impressed with Dr Karlson however this survey didn't take into account it was my first encounter with her. My goal was to find a primary care Doc. It seems to me she Is a prize winner. I think she is going to be fabulous as my primary care Doc. She had a plan for me and put it into motion immediately. I feel very good about her, her creds come from her program. Swedish is going to find they are lucky to have her on staff.

Though not my regular doctor, I was pleased to fit into Dr. Karlsen's schedule for a UTI that needed to be treated. She was very attentive and helpful, had some good suggestions, and ordered the treatment that I needed.

I had an excellent experience with this doctor. She actively listened to me and seemed genuinely interested in what I was saying. Highly recommend her!

I really appreciated being able to see an internal medicine practitioner. While I do like my primary care practitioner, I do not have a need to see someone who is family medicine-oriented, as I do not have any children nor plan to in the future.
