About Amanda F. Farris
Dr. Farris earned her medical degree from Wayne State University and is a resident training in Internal Medicine at Portland Providence Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency Program. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where she developed a passion for international health. Before starting medical school in Detroit, she spent six months in Guatemala studying Spanish and volunteering with Somos Hermanos, a non-profit organization that embraces cultural immersion and competency with the goal of providing health care professionals with the tools needed to better treat Latino patients in the U.S.

Dr. Farris grew up in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, spending her summers boating and sailing.
In her free time, she loves practicing yoga, traveling, hiking, and rollerblading. She is excited to embrace the Pacific Northwest and Providence Portland as her new home!
