About Alex D. Schafir
Alex Schafir, MD, has a patient-centered philosophy. "I help people define their own health issues and choose therapies that feel right to them," he says. "In primary care, the focus is prevention. I implement effective treatments early, and I protect people from unnecessary medical care."
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Schafir graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Washington. He is dedicated to medical education.
He and his wife have traveled all over the world, though travel is more challenging nowadays, thanks to their children. Outside of work, you might find him sea kayaking with his wife, seeking out live jazz, traveling to far places, or unicycling with his two kids.

After I got to the office everyone was extremely courteous and welcomed to see me. Makes any wait time easier to deal with especially with the high level of pain and discomfort I was in. I really appreciated their understanding and promptness to arrange for me to see the doctor.
