About Robert V. Eller
Becoming a doctor was a dream for Robert Eller, D.O., that started early in his life. "Both sets of my grandparents passed away from heart disease and stroke," says Dr. Eller. "I wanted to be a doctor to learn how I could help prevent patients from becoming victims to their illnesses."
He chose to become an Internist due to his interest in many different specialties. Knowing it would provide him with a vast knowledge of medicine to treat his patients.
Dr. Eller believes his most important role, as a physician, is to be an advocate for patient health. To provide the tools and knowledge needed to remain healthy. He knows it's important to be an intermediary between specialists to help the patient understand all aspects of their healthcare.
What Dr. Eller values about being a provider is his daily interactions, strong bond that develops between himself and patients over time in order to help them live healthy lives.
He enjoys patient interaction, questions and discussions about their concerns. He will always try to listen to his patients in order to create an environment, beginning at the first appointment, with trust and understanding.
Dr. Eller earned his medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine then completed his internship and residency at Methodist Hospital Dallas, Texas.
Originally from Upstate New York- Syracuse, Dr. Eller enjoys spending his free time outdoors when possible hiking, skiing, and biking

After all of the normal parts of my visit, Dr. Eller took the time to answer questions I had about an issue that was not on the regular schedule (having gas lately) and took enough time to go through iyt with me, and offer advice as how to handle or treat It.

Just a note on the two questions where I replied "No" as far as questions specifically asked about goals and whether needed help at home. IThere was no need to specifically ask these two questions, as both answers were obvious. I have had Dr. Eller only shortly as my primary care physician but he was highly recommended by another family member and I feel that I definitely made the right choice when I switched over to him.

Through compassionate listening and chart review, Dr. Eller determined that I should have a screening test 10 years earlier than typically recommended due to certain risk factors. Through this process, he determined that I had a medical condition that needed treatment. Without his help, I would not have known about my condition. Now I am empowered to take action. Dr. Eller is able to make connections, integrate care, and see the whole picture, especially important when patients see many other specialties.

I needed an appointment right away and was able to see Dr Eller. However, he didn't spend much time with me and seemed rushed. He was able to address my health concerns immediately and I really appreciated that. When a practitioner hurries through an appointment, it doesn't leave much time for the patient to think fast enough if there are further questions. I am finding this to be true with all providers recently. I usually wait 15/20 minutes in the office waiting for the appointment, and less than 5 minutes with the physician. It happens with more than just this provider. He did address the immediate issue and I was grateful for that.
