About Marlon C. DeCastro
As an internist, Dr. DeCastro specializes in providing patient-centered care for adults of all ages. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and able to care for an individual's specific medical needs from preventive services to the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions and diseases. He is especially adept at treating individuals with diabetes.
Dr. DeCastro received his medical degree from the University of the Philippines in Manila, and conducted an Internal Medicine residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. Most recently, Dr. DeCastro served as an attending physician at Clemson Health Center in South Carolina where he provided primary care to adults and served as lead investigator in several studies. While there, he also earned certification in the Diabetes Physician Recognition Program, presented by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

I spent 91 days in [Location] in 2021 failed back operations yes 2. Neuropathy set in. Spent about 2 weeks in the rehabilitation over by the creek. Again top notch.

Now that I'm getting older (71) I have minor issues, which he showed little concern for. Very unusual. I have been a patient for years and I've always been very happy with his attention.

But always feel apprehensive about my visit==even if just a regullar 3 mo checkup. While provider is polite I tend to not look forward to my visits with him. However I know he is highly knowldegeable and I'm fortunate to have him as my GP.

Dr was 1 hr late. When he finally met with me, which was an apt only to establish record, he didn't listen to me. I'm a very healthy woman, & it felt as if he was desperately trying to find anything wrong with me so he could prescribe meds. I have to advocate for myself. I am the one who suggested the doctors and PAs to order blood work and tests. The doctors seem to monologue at me, I'm very disappointed in this practice and until I get a proper diagnosis, I will be taking my health care to a different practitioner

Also, I have a hard time getting prescriptions refilled. He seems hesitant about refilling prescriptions even if I've been taking them for years.
