This was just the initial meeting with the doctor as we are transitioning from another doctor not part of Providence. We were referred to someone else who wasn't available and were going to do follow up with him, however we really liked Dr Kumar and decided on her as our primary. Only a few of my records were available in the portal, so I provided what she needed. I couldn't have been happier with the experience there, I didn't give a 10 for referrals yet because I've only had the one visit.

Dr. Kumar is what is missing in medicine. She is thorough, thoughtful, and very approachable. I used to go to the doctor and feel very nervous that I would be judged or that my problems would not be taken seriously as I was often dismissed as anxious and overreactive in the past. Even when I started going to Dr. Kumar, those feelings followed me, and I would often arrive to my appointments and ask myself, "What am I doing here? I'm overreacting again." I would feel nervous before she entered the room, but as soon as she started talking, I felt like I was being heard for the first time. That kind of understanding and compassion Is something that I feel has been missing from my healthcare experience for a long time. Dr. Kumar is sympathetic, kind, and offers solutions to my problems. She always asks questions and provides resources to help me address any health issues I am having. I couldn't ask for someone more pleasant and comforting than her to be my physician. Thank you, Dr. Kumar, and keep it up. Any patient you have is lucky to be seen by you.
