Efficient care and easy to understand Dr Afshar s explanation and update on my health status and the new to see other providers to update more like Bone Density my Gynecologist etc which I appreciate very much

I want to elect him one of the best doctors that I have ever known. He really listen And is very encouraging.

Dr Afshar is always ready to listen to our health conditions and does his very best to advise us with what we should do. My wife and I feel blessed to have him as our primary doctor. His receptionists clerks and technicians are very approachable as well.

I was at the providers office for a new patient visit. I viewed a video he had made about his practice, which is what convinced me to make an appointment with him. He was very attentive to my concerns and explained to me, in common terms, what was ailing me.

Dr listens carefully and provides easy yo understand instructions.

My blood work showed I was pre diabetic. I've never been diagnosed with that before. Dr said I needed to repeat the blood draw to see if the results would change but when I arrived at the blood draw office they said I had just done it a week ago & my insurance wouldn't pay. I don't feel well but no one seems to want to help me. Very disappointing

It was impossible for me to make an appointment because of my symptoms. I had to tell the scheduling department that I was a mother of two little ones and needed help with a severe cough I've had for over 10 days. She reluctantly gave me an appointment. At the visit the provider brushed off my concerns and dismissed my symptoms. I had to find medication to relieve my symptoms elsewhere. He seemed apathetic to my situation. I had to push to get the proper care I needed and still am left with little help. I have been with Providence for years and had my two children through this system and It becomes less and less about the people and patients that make this institution possible and more about profit.

Dr. Afshar is a great PCP.

Dr Yama was very caring with listening to my health concerns and I felt heard. He went over important details of the medication I was about to start. I am very happy with switching to Dr Yama for care as I felt like he listened to my issues and was able to provide solutions.

I believe I should have been referred for scan of knee joint- it is painfull

Doctor was thirty minutes late and did not apologize. Had not looked at my medical records. Acted distracted and dismissive about my concerns. Did not listen and seemed to get confused. However, seemed to have good knowledge. Overall, I did not get a feeling of caring for my health.

This was my first visit to this provider. I was looking for a new doctor. The office was very clean and the staff very helpful. I will be keeping the doctor as my new provider.

My overall experience was very professional and efficient. I appreciated the front receptionists assistance, kindness, and positive attitudes. They often don't get enough recognition, but they were deserve praise for being respectful and having a positive demeanor. Additionally, the nurse who helped take my vitals, review my basic medical information, and administer my vaccines was very nice and patient with me. The doctor I saw was quite proficient. He was respectful, however, not overly positive, seemed slightly rushed to move onto his next appointment, and did not take initiative as far as establishing care which was the primary reason I was there. For example, he did not necessarily offer health-related inquiries at the start of the visit but simply asked "why I was there" as if I was somewhat an Irritant and he was confused why I'd be there taking his time. After trying to explain I wanted to establish general care / wanted to create a good rapport so I may combat other health concerns, he moved swiftly into questioning my previous cancer diagnosis-something very personal and serious to me. He did not seem to understand what I was explaining and made an assumption Initially based on my lack of medical knowledge. I wish he would have pulled up my records right at the beginning of the session or even beforehand so he could have come in better prepared. While many people may appreciate his forward attitude and swiftness (and there Is nothing necessarily wrong with how this doctor provided care), I personally would rather have a doctor come into the appointment with a lighter attitude who doesn't seem to be in a rush. Speaking about very serious health concerns (cancer, surgery, and a heart condition) is scary for patients and it would have been nice for him to have better "bedside manner." Additionally, it would have been nice to see that he was familiar with my medical status prior to going into the session. However, this is a minor point and I understand that he has to be quite busy with a number of patients and cannot afford to spend an unlimited amount of time preparing for an appointment and not rushing through the session once back in the room. I plan on seeing this doctor again and look forward to following up. The minor notes aforementioned are not deal breakers and are in-line with other doctors demeanor I have heard about.

Since seeing this doctor I feel terrible these meds had terrible side effects that he didn't even know about

Since I could not see my regular doctor, this doctor could see me right away. He seemed to listen to my concerns and helped me. I am thinking about changing to him as my primary doctor.

Dr Afshar and the staff are always curious and takes the time I need with them. I never feel rushed. I feel Dr Afshar always my best interest in mind when it comes to my health.

The doctor seemed to know quite a bit not just text book medicine but experienced applied knowledge.

Dr. Afshar was kind and listened to my needs and answered all of my questions. He was kind and non judgmental especially my history with doctors being unkind due to past drug addiction and that I smoke. I know it's bad but you don't have to beat into me to quit. He just told me if I needed help to ask and moved on. And he congratulated me on my sober time! I'll be going back to him for all my needs in future! Also, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful and explained everything to me. I enjoyed the whole visit!!

Called Dr Afshar's office at 1pm on a Friday and saw him 2 hours later. Ordered X-rays which were taken the following Monday, Dr Afshar gave me his summary the same day. Very pleasant professional staff and doctor!
