About Jung Kim
Dr. Kim, a second generation acupuncturist, graduated from the Samra University of Oriental Medicine and trained in Korean Sa Sang constitutional medicine as a fellowship for two years. He also reviewed and studied classical Asian medicine during his time at Meditree Academy since 2002. He completed DAOM (Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) in 2016 with two years of fellowship under the supervision of Ora Gordon, MD, in Integrative Medicine at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center. Dr. Kim has been actively involved in research nationwide multicenter NCORP-sponsored clinical trial for Xerostomia (July 2015~ July 2022), and the clinical trial abstract was reported in ASCO 2022. He also published Systematic review in Lymphology, Can Acupuncture be a partk of the treatment fro Breast Cancer-related lymphedema? Systematic review of the safety and proposed model for care. Currently, he is clinical faculty at Emperors College as supervisor of the externship program in Integrative medicine at the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Cancer Center. The 3-month-long rotational program focuses on caring for patients with acupuncture treatment while reviewing and discussing the most current research with interns for 12 supportive care topics for cancer patients. Dr. Kim has been continuously assessing and updating the clinical protocols for improving the quality of life of oncology patients through the externship program. He lives in Glendale with a beautiful wife and two daughters. He loves classical music, mother nature, and hiking. The strength of his patient care comes from his passion for the dignity of life, justice, and love.
