About Andrew N. Wallace
Andrew Wallace, DO specializes in infectious disease medicine with professional interests in HIV, antibiotic stewardship, medical education, oral antibiotic use for complicated infections, and infectious complications associated with injection drug use. He uses a patient centered and collaborative approach to patient care to meet people where they are with the hopes of improving outcomes.
Dr. Wallace attended the University of California at Santa Barbara for his undergraduate education. He then earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas followed by an internal medicine residency affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Cone Health in Greensboro, NC. He also completed an infectious disease fellowship at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. He is board certified in internal medicine and infectious disease.
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Wallace is excited to be back on the west coast after having moved away for most of his graduate education and training. Dr. Wallace enjoys baseball and is an avid San Diego Padres fan. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his German Shepherd pup, Sage.
