About Aaron M. Shelub
Dr. Aaron Shelub earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his medical degree from Sackler Medical School of Tel Aviv University. He went on to an Internal Medicine Residency at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California, and Harbor-UCLA in Torrance, California. Dr. Shelub then completed a UCLA-affiliated Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program, where he received extensive training by internationally recognized experts in HIV. He has spent two years practicing at AIDS Healthcare Foundation. A board-certified Infectious Disease Specialist and Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Shelub has been in private practice since 2008. His practice focuses on care for critically ill, septic and all hospitalized patients with severe infections. He also specializes in outpatient infectious diseases and HIV care and is an expert in C.Diff colitis, Valley Fever, Coccidioidomycosis and MRSA infections of all types. In addition, Dr. Shelub leads a Travel Medicine Clinic that helps prevent travel-related illness and injury as well as treats post-travel illness. His knowledge extends into many areas of care that include infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, quality assurance, telemedicine, and health care information technology. A published author and frequent lecturer on infectious disease subjects, Dr. Shelub is on the Infection Control Committee at Tarzana Medical Center, Valley Presbyterian Hospital and Sherman Oaks Hospital. Dr. Shelub is also an active researcher and a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America, American College of Physicians, HIV Medical Association, Infectious Disease Association of California and California Medical Association.
