Maria A. A. Spizzirri, MD

Maria Spizzirri is a board certified Internal Medicine medical doctor with over 20 years of experience as a physician. Following her graduation from medical school at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil , she specialized in Ophthalmology and worked in her private practice and as an emergency room ophthalmologist. After moving to the United States in 2004, her medical training included a preliminary year in General Surgery at Nassau University Medical Center in New York and an Internal Medicine Residency at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. She has been working as a Hospitalist since 2015 and in 2017 she was selected as a Top Doctor in Stockton, CA by the International Association of Internists and approved to be published in The Leading Physicians of the World. She is fluent in Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and English. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, scuba diving, cooking and learning new languages.
