Dr. Mejia explained my diagnosis and treatment options clearly and in detail. I didn't mind that the appointment didn't start right on time because I appreciate that he took his time with me, listening and patiently answering my questions. I didn't feel rushed or pressured in any way. An excellent experience.

My visit with Dr, Mejia was really all thanks to Dr. Mejia. I had a lot of trouble getting scheduled with a doctor due to confusion about where I was going to get treatment for this cancer. It seems it was assumed that I would be getting treatment in Missoula, MT, but I was staying in Spokane so I could get treatment here. This made it difficult to get call backs from the office and schedule appointments. I was attending an appointment with Dr, Mejia for my father who also has pancreatic cancer. After speaking with Dr. Mejia for a good amount of time regarding my father's condition and what it meant in the context of my own pancreatic cancer diagnosis, it became apparent to him that I also needed a consult. Dr. Mejia quickly took my case in hand and stepped out to review my records. Once he did that, all other appointments were scheduled and it was easy to get care. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Mejia for taking charge and determining what needed to be done. Once he reviewed my record, he was able to talk to me about my diagnosis and give me very good information and a plan to follow. I appreciate his willingness and ability to take control of the situation and get me sorted out and on track with the Spokane team. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Mejia for anyone who needed his care. If I need surgery again, I am hopeful Dr. Mejia will be my surgeon. Please thank him for me and let him know how much his care made a difference to me.
