About Josh D. Remick
Dr. Josh Remick has always been drawn to medicine because it allows him to combine his love for science and his enjoyment of engaging with people. After earning his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York, Dr. Remick completed an internship and residency at the New York University School of Medicine in New York City, where he served as chief resident. He went on to complete a cardiology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and received an additional year of training in advanced heart failure and transplantation.
He first went to medical school planning to become a surgeon, but quickly realized that working in the operating room didn’t give him the personal connection he wanted with patients. He found his calling in cardiology and discovered a passion for heart failure and transplant. “I love being a part of the rare gift of life, transplanting a new heart into a patient and giving them a new lease on life.”
In his practice, Dr. Joshua Remick believes his most important role as a cardiologist is to educate his patients so they can make informed, intelligent health care decisions. "I'm a partner in their health," he says. "I emphasize honesty and commitment with my patients," says Dr. Remick. "Heart failure is a chronic disease that requires patients to actively participate in their health care." His philosophy of care is to help patients achieve their personal health goals. Dr. Remick enjoys making a difference in the lives of his patients and earning their trust.
Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Dr. Remick is a Pacific Northwest native and a dual US-Canadian citizen. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, skiing, and spending weekends at Mt. Hood Meadows with his wife and two children and their two labradoodles. Dr. Remick is also a passionate hockey fan, and enjoys reading, crossword puzzles and word games.

Dr. Joshua Remick is kind, thoughtful, understanding, compassionate, and knowledgeable. At some points he provided the words for the thoughts and feelings I'd yet to articulate. He knew the science of the heart, and was able to care for the my wounded heart. I'm sorry our connection is only temporary. Every nurse and physician who provided care during my hospital stay and treatment, from ER through hospital discharge was competent, kind, encouraging, reassuring, and, well, healing.
