About Alexis N. Hokenstad

A North Dakota native, Dr. Hokenstad attended the University of North Dakota for undergrad and medical school. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Hokenstad was fortunate to stay at the Mayo Clinic for her Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship and a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship. After completing her training, Dr. Hokenstad and her husband, a urogynecologist, headed west to Montana. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, gynecologic oncology, and hospice and palliative care. As a provider, Dr. Hokenstad’s clinical interests are comprehensive gynecologic oncology care for patients with ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers, including surgical management and administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted medications - minimally invasive surgery, including robotic surgery, and palliative medicine. She is with Intermountain Health based in Billings and proud to be affiliated with the Providence system in outreach services in Missoula.
