Kristine J. Dukart-Harrington, DNP, RN, AGNP-C, ACHPN

Kristine Dukart-Harrington (she/her/hers) is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner who specializes in palliative care for adults undergoing treatment for cancer. Her passion is enhancing the quality of life for her patients and their loved ones. Kristine is committed to being by your side during the ups and downs of your journey. She also strongly believes in empowering the entire health care team to be confident in building skills and resilience to make patient care a supportive and helpful experience.

In her practice, Kristine treats symptoms related to cancer and/or cancer treatments and provides counseling and advocacy to ensure care is congruent with patient goals, values and wishes. She works closely with an interdisciplinary team of social workers and chaplains to provide emotional, psychological and spiritual support.

Kristine worked full-time on the Providence Cancer Institute's Franz Oncology Palliative Care Team from 2018 to 2019, before moving her practice to part-time and taking a faculty role at the University of Portland School of Nursing & Health Innovations, where she was mostly recently graduate program director. She also helped start the palliative care telehealth program at Providence Seaside Oncology. She decided to return to full-time clinical practice and as of January 2024, has taken the nurse practitioner role on the Oncology Palliative Care team at the westside Portland clinic.

In her free time, Kristine can be found spending time with her family, including wife Laurie, daughters Kaia and Kinley, and their two dogs (Lorelai and Lexi). She loves to play outside when the sun is shining, dance, and cook, and she is a voracious reader.
