Harrison M. Friend, PAC

Medicine has always been Harrison’s calling. For as long as he can remember, he’s been fascinated by the human body and how it functions. Working as a physician assistant, he says, “allows me to couple that interest with my desire to benefit the people around me.”

Before he joined us, Harrison worked in the emergency department at Providence Medford Medical Center, which helped him become a well-rounded medical provider. Today, he applies his critical-care skills to meeting the complex needs of vascular surgery patients. He focuses on establishing open communication, providing clear medical advice and paying attention to detail. In addition, he says. “I enjoy connecting with people and reminding them that they’re not alone.”

Although he was born in Alaska, Harrison has spent most of his life in Medford. A graduate of North Medford High School, he completed the bulk of his undergraduate college courses at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University before heading to Pacific University in Hillsboro for his medical training.

After medicine, his second love is animals. If time permits during your visit, says Harrison, “Be sure to tell me about your pets.”
