Charles Acher, MD

Charles Acher, MD, MPH, is certified by the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and by the American Board of Surgery. Prior to studying medicine he worked in Global Health in Ethiopia, Uganda, and China. Through these experiences, he found his way to patient care. Dr. Acher chose Colorectal Surgery because of the breadth of clinical problems and solutions it encompasses and the long term patient relationships it brings. Not every treatment is right for every patient and his goal is to treat patients within the context of their lives. His priorities are to help patients understand their disease and treatment options and provide skilled and knowledgeable surgical and postoperative care. Being from Wisconsin, Montana has been a good fit for him and his partner, Stephanie Suprenant a Plastic Surgeon in the community, and their two young children. They enjoy Nordic and Alpine skiing, running, riding, throwing rocks in the river, and just being outside. Above all they enjoy being together as a family, as not much else compares.
