About Daniel J. Ochalek

Dr. Ochalek is a board-certified general surgeon with more than 25 years of experience. He is an expert robotic surgeon with special interest in robotic gastrointestinal surgery and complex hernia repair. Dr. Ochalek attended medical school at The Medical College of Wisconsin, followed by surgical training at Loyola University in Chicago, and at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After twenty years of practice in the midwest as a general and burn surgeon he relocated to the Bay Area in 2019. The hallmark of Dr. Ochalek’s practice is compassion and excellent communication.
