A board-certified general surgeon, he works with patients throughout Southern California at his practice, Marina Weight Loss, located Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA.

Since 2002, Dr. Korman has been utilizing the latest advancements in bariatric surgery to improve patient outcomes that positively impact a patient's quality of life. He’s performed thousands of surgeries and provides the ongoing support to patients to ensure they reach a healthy weight.

When asked what it is he loves about his job, Dr. Korman stated, "I still appreciate it when patients tell me that I have changed their lives or when they smile and give me a big hug. It doesn't get old and makes for a good day at work."

Dr. Korman graduated from Cornell University and attended medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He completed his General Surgery Residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center and completed fellowships in Laparoscopic General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He’s an active member of American College of Surgeons, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.

​Dr. Korman is the Medical Director of Marina Weight Loss (a Cedars-Sinai affiliate) at Marina del Rey Hospital, where he also has privileges along with Cedars-Sinai.
