Alecia became a physician assistant because she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. She loves building relationships with her patients and feels this is one of her greatest strengths as a provider. She takes her time and gives a thorough explanation so that her patients have a better understanding of their own health. Her love of travel has led her to practice in a number of states, as well as medical specialties, so far in her career. She feels this has helped her become a well-rounded provider. In doing this, she has realized that no matter where you are, there’s people that need help. She enjoys working in gastroenterology because the digestive tract plays a major role in the overall health of a person; an area she feels she can really make a difference. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her dogs and loved ones.
